DESCRIPTION:Angel Tree Program\nIt’s that time of the year for the Angel Tree Program.  Last year\, thanks to your generosity\, the Salvation Army of Davidson County Angel Tree program was able to provide Christmas gifts to many children in Davidson County. \nThe Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys for children of families in need ages 0-12 years old in Davidson County.   Help the Salvation Army make a difference this year in a child’s life by adopting an angel. \nHere is how it works: \n1. Select an Angel or two from the Christmas tree located in the Brooks Student Center lobby or click here for an Angel Tag \n2. Each tag provides the Angel’s name\, age\, gender\, clothing size\, and wish list. \n3.  Fulfill the “needs and wishes” on the card by purchasing new\, unused\, unwrapped toys and clothing items that the angel has specifically wished for; however\, if you’re not able\, don’t feel obligated to purchase everything on the tag. \n4. After purchasing items\, please place them in a durable bag such as a lawn and garden leaf bag and be sure to leave the Angel tag inside the bag or affixed to the gift (s) so that the Salvation Army can identify where the items need to go.  It is imperative that the Angel tag remain with the toys for proper distribution. \n5. Return your gifts to the Office of Student Life conference room by December 11\, the Salvation Army truck will pick them up at 11 am. \nThank you again for all you are doing. Your assistance this year will ensure that hundreds of Angel tags for Davidson County will be fulfilled and bring a smile to a child’s face on Christmas Day.

They have radically changed the landscape of popular entertainment and have brought hard science out of the dark recesses of the laboratory and into the zeitgeist of mass entertainment. Each and every one of these programs depends on the distillation of complicated scientific data into easily digestible plot points that are crucial to the production of procedural television. Chemistry\, biology\, mathematics\, the law and a wide array of forensic disciplines such as odontology\, entomology and DNA analysis among others\, take center stage in this unique\, often overlooked aspect of the creative process. \nFor the last 15 years\, David and Jon’s company\, Entertainment Research Consultants (ERC) has been providing this crucial service for the industry. They have consulted for more than twenty popular TV shows and film as well as a popular advertising campaign for Microsoft. \nIn this unique presentation\, Jon and David will detail the exciting process of how each episode of procedural television is created\, from the story’s conception in the writers room all the way through post-production and finally on to your television screen. You’ll learn how the world’s most popular TV shows are researched and view excerpts that illustrate how that information is incorporated into each episode. \n\nDavid Berman\n \nDavid Berman\, a Los Angeles native\, attended college at Georgetown University where he graduated \nMagna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. After completing his studies in Washington\, he returned to Los Angeles where he has spent the last dozen years working as a researcher and as an actor for a wide variety of hit television series. \nAlong with ERC co-president Jon Wellner\, Berman maintains a database of over 300 professionals working in virtually all aspects of law enforcement. \nBerman has also appeared as an actor in CSI from 2000 until 2015 as assistant coroner David Phillips. In 2008 he was promoted to series regular and included in the program’s opening credits. He has also performed in such programs as Desperate Housewives\, Heroes and Drop Dead Diva. \nJon Wellner\n \nJon Wellner hails from Chicago where he studied theater and performed at such renowned theaters as Second City and the Steppenwolf Theater. He moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and was soon working on television with roles on Bones\, NCIS\, Becker\, Gilmore Girls\, Yes\, Dear\, Judging Amy\, That’s So Raven and more. In 2002\, he played Gilligan in the movie of the week\, Surviving Gilligan’s Island\, which was the highest-rated movie of the week that year. He can also be seen in the films Evan Almighty as well as Ocean’s 13. \nIn 2004\, Jon was cast as toxicologist Henry Andrews on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation\, a role he played until 2015
