Fire Officer III

This course will present the Fire Officer candidate with the knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6of NFPA 1021: Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. The course is designed to meet the needs of an executive management position. The course involves study in the areas of human resource management, fire department administration, community relations, budget preparation, and records management. This is a NC Fire and Rescue Commission certification course.

Course Prerequisites:

• 21 years of age
• Firefighter Level II certified for 7 years
• Fire Officer II certified
• Have a High School Education or GED
