This course provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults, with a focus on developing computer literacy, customer service expertise, and essential office skills needed for today’s workplace. Participants will begin with an assessment of individual strengths and areas for improvement to create personalized learning goals. Instruction emphasizes building a positive self-concept and professional mindset to increase confidence in the workplace.
The curriculum incorporates training in employability skills, including teamwork, reliability, time management, and professional etiquette. Communication skills will be a focus of this class with activities in verbal, written, and digital interactions commonly used in customer service and office environments. Learners will practice problem-solving strategies for workplace challenges while also developing proficiency in information technology tools.
By the end of the course, participants will demonstrate a well-rounded set of skills that prepare them for employment in customer service, administrative support, and other office-based roles.
