Residency Determination Services
The state of North Carolina partially subsidizes the cost of public college or university tuition for all students whose domicile or permanent legal residence is in North Carolina. Completing the Residency Determination Services application establishes if a student should have in-state or out-of-state tuition. Read more about NC Tuition Benefits, Residency Laws and Policies, and/or Residency Guidelines.
You will need your Residency Determination Number 
to complete Step 2.
